Fire Protection

3E SERVICES have the technical expertise, experience and knowledge on installation of Fire Retardant Systems & Firestops systems. Fire retardant systems like applying Vermiculite spray as a passive resistant and highly stable fire protection coating for the steel structure, Intumescent coatings can protect the structure against fire attack, intumescent paints have dual advantage so which can act as a corrosion resistant for steel due to their low permeability feature and for Structures and Buildings.

What are Fire Stops?

  • Firestop is a fire protection that is used to seal around openings and between joints in a fire-resistance-rated wall or floor assembly. Firestops are designed to maintain the fireproofing of structures, walls, sidings, HVAC ducts, openings etc., allowing it to impede the spread of fire and smoke.
  • Firestops prevent unprotected horizontal and vertical penetrations in a fire-resistance-rated wall or floor assembly from creating a route by which fire and smoke can spread that would otherwise have been fire-resisting construction.

Firestops are used in:

  • Electrical, mechanical, and structural penetrations
  • Unpenetrated openings
  • Re-entries of existing firestops
  • Control or sway joints in fire-resistance-rated wall or floor assemblies
  • Junctions between fire-resistance-rated wall or floor assemblies
  • Head-of-wall (HOW) joints, where non-load-bearing wall assemblies meet floor assemblies

What are Fire Retardant Coatings?

  • Fire retardant coatings are often required to protect a wide range of products of both flammable and nonflammable against fire. It is an oldest, most efficient, and easiest method to apply any surface without modifying the intrinsic properties of materials. The initial phase of fire always occurs on the surface by ignition, and hence, it is important to concentrate on the surface protection of a material.
  • A fire retardant coatings are used to slow down or stop the spread of fire or reduce its intensity. This is commonly accomplished by chemical reactions that reduce the flammability of fuels or delay their combustion. Generally, 1-hour / 2-hour Delay in Fire propagation may help to bring the Fire under control and protect the structures from Fire Damages.
